Program Details

A multi-month exhibition showcasing various goods produced by American industry, including machinery, wool, and art. Music in Gotham assumes the participation of Theodore Thomas’s band based on the New York Times advertisement of 09/19/69, although it is doubtful that Thomas himself conducted any of the evening performances, as he was nightly at the Central Park Garden with his orchestra.
