“Many applications for tickets to the C. M. A. [Church Music Association] concerts of the Future, and they begin to be talked of quite generally. O for one or two good tenors and soprani to secure their success! I have letters and visits from lots of people who want to sing, but I refer them all to Pech. It is essential that he have absolute control of orchestra, chorus, and solo singers. He must be Dictator in that department, and allow the committee to be supreme in all questions of money.”
