This announcement in the Herald is not specific as to when the band is coming to New York. It notes that Jim Jubilee, Jr. has “succeeded in coaxing the princely Leopold II., for certain princely considerations, to permit his princely musicians to cross ‘the big pond’ on an excursion of sixty days . . . The band numbers seventy-five picked musicians, every one who is said to be a ‘great soloist,’ the whole under the direction of a certain Herr, or Mons. Victor Bender. During its stay at the Grand Opera House this band will give forty promenade concerts—twenty in the afternoons and twenty more in the evenings . . . “
