Report of the meeting at the Germania Assembly Rooms, in which a new president was elected. The most important news was that the society had raised $40,00 to build a new hall. Havemeyer, Steinway and John Kress were among those who contributed $5,000. Joseph Neustaedter was elected president. Names of other officers are listed. Carl Bergmann was renominated to be the conductor for the next year. Chorus leaders were also chosen and the meeting ended with a rendition of Ecce Quam Bonum.
