“The standard attractions at this temple of the Muses have been strengthened this week by the addition of two new Ethiopian artists. Messrs. Delehanty and Engler, who made their first appearance here last evening in their several specialties of singing and dancing to the intense delight of the regular habitués and the profit of the management is inducing the attendance of others. Miss Nellie Taylor, vocalist and comedienne, and Frank Taylor, ‘champion’ (so are they all champions) comique, contributed likewise to the interest of this entertainment, while the old favorites, Johnny Thompson, Frank Kerns, George Warren, Amy de Brent, Helene Smith and the Sorenno Sisters, whose names are ‘household words’ in the mouths of the East siders, were each heartily welcomed and applauded in their different roles.  A new characteristic drama, entitled ‘Sunshine and Shadow, or Life’s Chances and Changes,’ made up of exciting situations, tableaux, life pictures, &c., introducing the entire strength of the double company, wound up the extended programme in an appropriate manner.”
