"The second special attraction was the fine vocalist, Miss Nully Peiris, a handsome, fresh, good sized, blooming rose of a young damsel. She proved a favorite from the start, and in the recalls after her excellent rendering of the letter song in ‘La Perichole,’ and after her spirited ‘Five o’Clock in the morning,’ the audience with general accord joined in the noisy demonstrations.”
