Brief article describing Lydia Thompson’s involvement in a divorce case in London, her connection with a married man by the name of Watkins being proven and used as evidence against him.
Lydia Thompson replies to the New York Herald article of 04/05/70: “A paragraph appears in this morning’s [April 5] issue of your paper, credited to the London Globe, in which my name is made us of as being involved in a certain divorce suit of Watkins vs. Watkins. The assertion is a false and malicious slander, and it is simply sufficient for me to state that I know nothing of the case in question, and I do not now, and never did know, any person by the name of Watkins. LYDIA THOMPSON.”
Additional response by Thompson, including an affidavit.
