The German Lutheran Church of St. Paul, Sixth avenue and Fifteenth street, was the scene of a fashionable German wedding yesterday, the couple being Herr Louis Schneider and Fräulein Elise Carolia Sattig. Inside the church the preparations were chiefly musical. There were no floral decorations, no white gloved and moustached dandy ushers to hand the fair visitors their seats; briefly, there was no nonsense, the edifice being close to all save a few chosen friends. So the building was not uncomfortably crowded, and everything was pleasant. The organist, Mr. Henry Mayer, was reinforced by Mr. Bernstein and and orchestra of fifteen pieces, and by a choir of twenty young people. They sang previous to the entrance of the bridal party the magnificent Alleluia chorale with precision and grace.” Continues about the details of the ceremony and those who participated.
