“The mass performed by Dacham [Dachauer] and the choir was the 12th of Dietsch. At the offertory the Quando Corpus, from Rossini’s Stabat Mater, was finely rendered. A fine orchestra has been engaged for this church for Easter Sunday, and the ceremonies during the rest of Holy Week, beginning on Holy Thursday, will probably be very impressive and beautiful at this church.”
