"Mr. Asa Cushman, a well-known actor, died in this city on Saturday. He had occupied the post of stage-manager of the Olympic. Theater-goers will remember his excellent personation of Uncle Tom. He was a popular actor, and in private life was much esteemed. He was a native of Providence, R. I., and there made his first appearance on the stage.”
