“Yesterday morning, at the new Roman Catholic Church of the Epiphany, in Second-avenue, the musical services were unusually fine, comprising Millard’s Mass in G, which was sung with fine effect by [lists performers]. Miss Sayers’ rich voice was heard to great effect, and in the bass passages Mr. D’Haesler’s powerful organ filled the church with it melody. Notwithstanding the fact that a fee was charged for admission to the body of the church, the edifice was well filled.”
