After the sermon, “came the singing of a psalm by the choir:—

Let every tongue Thy goodness speak,

Thou sovereign Lord of all;

Thy strengthening hand uphold the weak

And raise the poor that fall.

“The singing of this hymn was most beautiful, and some of the female voices would have done credit to any vocal exhibition. There was a feeling and an expression, too, that struck home.” No further mention of music.
