“‘Shoo, Fly!’ has taken up a permanent abode at Bryant’s [sic], and will likely enable Dan to build another opera house, start a grand hotel on the Ethiopian plan or run an Arcade job.”

Bryant’s Minstrels are in the last week but three of their present season at their hall in this city, as they are preparing for a tour of about three months, visiting many of the principal cities. The programme offered for the current week is an attractive one, as it is replete with a number of laughable single and double acts in the olio, while in the first part Norman, Russell, Grier, Brandisi and Rockefeller have a ballad each. That the ends will be kept up creditably by Dan Bryant and Unsworth is a foregone conclusion. The dance of ‘Shoo Fly’ holds its own prominently on the bills, and as the warm weather is approaching he will buz [sic] more than usual.”
