Review: New York Herald, 16 May 1870, 3.

Describes musical portion of a baptismal service that occurred before the sermon. “…After a voluntary on the organ from Mozart’s Seventh Mass, the grandly swelling Te Deum upon the organ and the singing by the whole choir of this masterly piece of sacred music was the signal for the opening of the regular services. After this ‘I Will Arise and Go to my father,’ with soprano solo by Mrs. Ficker [sic], was exquisitely sung.”
