Announcement of the Berger Swiss Bell Ringers

“LADY VOCALIST WANTED.—THE ‘BERGER FAMILY Swiss Bell Ringers,’ the largest and best troupe in that line in the United States, are desirous of securing a good lady vocalist, from 18 to 21 years of age, for the season of 1870-71, commencing in September next. A prepossessing appearance and a thoroughly knowledge of vocal music will be absolutely requisite, and she must also possess a good wardrobe, suitable ambition and a desire to render her services valuable to a ‘working company.’ To such a lady an engagement of ten months (or longer) will be offered, with a moderate but sure salary, and all travelling expenses paid.”
