Review: New-York Times, 12 June 1870, 4.

“The Arion Singing Society intended to hold their first Summer-night’s festival of the season at the Terrace Garden, corner of Third-avenue and Fifty-eighth-street, last night. The intention was defeated, however, by the unfavorable weather, and no singing was heard. A goodly number of members of the Society and their ladies assembled in the garden, were fortunate, under the circumstances, in the presence of Mr. Henry Mollenhauer’s Band. The next Summer-night’s festival of the Society will be held on June 25.”
