“Chief among the attractions was Miss Emma Alford, who sang several songs in a pleasing manner and was encored some half dozen times. She is likewise an excellent dancer. She was costumed in excellent taste. Mr. Sidney Franks sang a number of comic songs and gave his wonderful imitation of a cornet solo, in which he was rapturously applauded. Mr. J. C. Kelley played several airs upon musical glasses with one hand, accompanying himself on the piano with the other. The performance was clever and he was deservedly encored.”
