“The performance concluded with a burlesque upon the opera bouffe of the ‘Brigands,’ which was well arranged and sung. Rollin Howard as the brigand queen was gorgeously costumed and with becoming taste. He sang the music allotted him with artistic skill. D. S. Wambold was effective as the Brigand Chief. The whispering and laughing choruses were, of course, introduced and received due recognition from the audience. The soldiers, headed by the portly Mr. Bernard, were comical.”
