“NEW YORK CIRCUS—CHRISTMAS SPECTACLE.—The long looked for fairy spectacle of ‘Cinderella,’ which forms one of the chief attractions of the holidays, and which every juvenile is impatient to see, is in the first nights of its triumphant run at the New York Circus. A more interesting sight can hardly be witnessed in any theatre. Sixty little children, dressed in very rich and tasteful costumes, are in this little spectacle. Their movements, acting and appearance were the very embodiment of grace and innocence, and the principal characters were sustained by Masters Bonnie and Freddie Runnells and Misses White, Belia Green and Victoria Runnells in such a manner as to evoke the enthusiastic applause of the audience. Among the other features in the bill were the graceful equestrianism of Mlle. Caroline Rolland, the Levantine brothers and the bareback hurdle act of Melville and his infant son.”
