“. . . A pleasant group of little faces beamed upon the audience at Association Hall last night, the occasion being the annual concert of Mrs. C. Osborne Shorey, a lady who has achieved unusual success in teaching little fingers how they should wander among the ivories of the keyboard. The little ones last night played most creditably, greatly to the delight of their proud parents and friends. A Mozart overture, by four young performers, on two pianos, was given with unimpeachable accuracy; and several of the pianoforte soloists gave evidence of decided talent. The ‘Mortimer Piano Society’ is the official title of the band of young musicians who appeared at Association Hall last night.”
