“‘Let Me Be,’ a double song and dance of the ‘Shoo Fly’ order, written expressly for Johnny Queen and Billy West by Rollin Howard, has been the chief feature of attraction at the San Francisco Minstrels. In addition thereto an attractive program has been performed in which Bernard, Backus, Birch and Wambold and all the artists of the company have appeared. A laughable burlesque called ‘Ring at School’ has concluded the entertainment nightly. A fair average business has been done by this troupe.”
