“Central Park Garden. Theodore Thomas had last evening a programme of extraordinary interest. The beautiful garden was fairly crowded, and the performance was of the usual standard of merit that characterizes these concerts. Fahrbach, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Rossini, Strauss, Wagner, Gounod, Lanner, Suppe and Bosquet figured in the bill, and Mr. Bernard Listeman played a very interesting violin solo.”
