“These operas have introduced to us the prima donnas Silly, Montaland, Persini and Aimee. These ladies have all given pleasure, though they have not made the impression which Irma did. The leading tenor of the troupe, M. Gausins, has given fair satisfaction, and makes the most of his limited compass of voice. Of the remaining singers, M. Duchesne is the only one worthy of mention as a vocalist, the others being simply clever comedians.”
