“A tender-voiced organ welled up last night amid a gentle storm of juvenile choral singing ; and, from the common school up to the ‘Star Spangled Banner,’ the younkers, male and female, did their best to make the experiment a success. Fond papas and mammas said it was a success, which of course they are free to maintain. Our candid opinion is that of pleasure in the promise of Mr. Harley Newcomb to give the juveniles a rest.”
