“The second of these popular concerts was given yesterday evening at the Terrace Garden, Fifty-eighth street. The grounds are prettily laid out, the gaslights are bright, the eatables and drinkables fairly good and cheap, and the music light, varied, and well played. The whole enterprise deserves success as an attempt to naturalize among us the better form of German garden concert, and so act as a counter attraction to other and less innocent forms of popular amusement.”
