“The finale was A Trip to Europe, in which were introduced the songs of many nations. Miss Ada Wray, as Prussia, sang ‘The Watch on the Rhine,’ Miss Clara Vernon, as France, ‘La Marseillaise,’ and Miss Martha Wren, ‘The Star Spangled Banner,’ in the chorus of which the entire company and a large portion of the audience joined. The latter act was accompanied by a moving panorama, depicting appropriate scenes. The business of the week was excellent.”
