At the Globe Theatre, John Stetson suddenly withdrew his company and retired from the management after the performance of Oct. 28. On Monday evening it was opened, under the management of Sam Ryan and Mr. Van Voerst, who retired after Thursday evening’s performances, and the company ran it as a commonwealth the balance of the week. On Friday evening there was a very fair attendance. We are reliably informed that the theatre will be kept close duntil the 15th, when it will be re-opened under a responsible manager, and with first class attraction.”
