“At the San Francisco Minstrels, those popular performers, Birch, Wambold, Bernard and Backus, are pursuing the even tenor of their way in the most placid manner possible. Their average business is good, and, we doubt not, their weekly dividend of the profits offers each of the partners a fair remuneration for their labor. Their auxiliary aid is ever first class, and during the present season unusual effort has been made by the managers to present as much novelty as possible. The programme of the past week was enjoyable, but calls for no special comment.”
