“The second of the trio of these admirable series of pianoforte recitals was given in Steinway’s large hall Wednesday, the reason of the change from the small hall being fully manifested by the admirers of Miss Mehlig filling the auditorium to within a row or two of the ground floor. These different selections from the works of the best composers for the pianoforte were rendered with that full and ample justice which might have been expected from so thoroughly an accomplished artist as Miss Mehlig, whose complete mastery of the mechanism of the instrument and deep poetic thoughtfulness was perhaps never more favorably exemplified.”

“The second of Miss Mehlig’s series was given at Steinway’s larger hall on Wednesday afternoon before a remarkably fine audience. The programme was like that of the week before, strictly classical, and Miss Mehlig herself was the only performer.”
