Closing of Wallack’s for the Summer/Affect of the War.  “The play-going public was startled on Friday last by the official announcement that, after giving three more representations, Mr. Wallack would close his theater for the season.  The unwelcome event seems to have been precipitated by the alarming news from the seat of war and the consequent departure from the city of several of our up-town regiments.  Under these circumstances, no complaint can be made.”
