Included Music, song, comedy and recitations in French. “The musical part of the soirée was rendered by M. Leoni Berthelot and Mlle. Pauline Nininger, both of whom met with warm appreciation. M. Berthelot sang ‘Comme a vingt ans’ with good expression. Mlle. Nininger has a voice of great power and purity, and rendered ‘D’Amor,’ from ‘Trovatore,’ in a very fine manner, but her organ is more adapted to a large theatre than to a hall of small dimensions. Señors Ramirez and Martin, in Spanish costume, executed several national airs on guitars and were repeatedly applauded.”

“A short concert programme introduced Miss Nininger, who sang an air from ‘Trovatore,’ M. Berthelot, the Spanish minstrels, who were all well received, and others.”
