“One concert of Theodore Thomas is so much like another for the highest orchestral effects, for exquisite harmony, perfect finish of execution, and sympathetic rendering of the best composers, that in speaking of the performances at the Central Park Garden it is only necessary to say that they have entered upon the third week of the season with undiminished éclat. The unvarying throng that fills the beautiful pavilion and overflows the promenades is the best proof that the efforts of this accomplished conductor to please the public are fully appreciated.”
