“THE FALL AND WINTER SEASON at Wood’s Museum was inaugurated on Monday evening, Sept. 1, a fact of no special significance in a theatre that keeps open the year round, and no changes of importance were made in the company. It may be mentioned, however, that Miss Augusta Raymond made her first appearance, and W. H. Brinkworth, leader of the orchestra, resumed his accustomed seat…[In Dick, the Chavalier], [s]ome songs, also dances of the variety-hall order, have been introduced, but they met with little favor…Elise Holt, who made her reappearance in America after an absence of some years passed in England, was cordially received.” No further mention of music.
