“Miss Saidee Cole gave an entertainment, part musical and part literary, at the Association Hall on the 2d inst. The lady has had experience upon the regular stage, and her talents are reënforced by personal charms and graces. The musical features of the performance were conspicuously good, and were such as make Miss Saidee Cole’s entertainment worthy of the attention of lyceums—for which in particular, it is designed. Her company includes, among others, Mr. Grier, the popular basso, of the Church of Dr. Bellows. Mr. W. H. Pope introduced characteristic recitations.”
