“…In the third act, during a carnival scene, Mme. Lanner’s troupe of children performed a dance called ‘The Revels of the Imps,’ the California Quartet were encored for their excellent singing, and little Fay Templeton sang a medley of the popular songs of the period with charming and piquant effect. She was several times recalled, and it seemed that the audience would never tire of her…” No further mention of music.
