"At St. Patrick’s Cathedral Generali’s mass in C minor, with the Agnus Dei by another composer, was the music of yesterday morning. Those Italian masses generally include only a Kyrie, Gloria, and Credo. The whole beautiful mass poured itself out like an inspiration, and on next Sunday it is to be repeated…The beautiful Tantum Ergo and Genitori of the Italian Rossi were sung at vespers.”
