“Association Hall was well filled, last evening, with an audience that thoroughly appreciated the Glee Club of Yale College, who gave their long-promised concert. The programme was varied, comprising a number of characteristic songs peculiar to college manuals, which were received with marked satisfaction. A basso solo, ‘The Friar of Orders Gray,’ the quartette, ‘Old Mountain Tree,’ ‘Mary’s Lamb,’ and ‘Bingo,’ all earned a full share of applause. ‘Peter Grey’ was sung in a serio-comic style, and created much merriment. The entertainment closed with ‘Vogel’s Waltz’ by the entire Club. All of the classes at Yale were represented, the members of the Club being [lists names].”
