A brief but positive review. “Their representations naturally address themselves to the little ones; but as they have a great deal of novelty about them, many older heads will not consider them undeserving of a visit. An operatic and dramatic troupe so united and trustworthy is in itself a rare and gratifying sight.”

“At Robinson Hall the attendance has steadily increased, and from present prospects the Royal Marionettes will become a permanent and popular amusement. Matinees are given every day for the accommodation of children and suburban residents, and the entertainments conclude in ample time to allow the auditors to take the late afternoon trains running out of the city. While the entertainments are highly pleasing to adults, they afford a deal of innocent amusement to children.” Concludes with anecdote relaying a child’s remarks about the performance.
