“Mlle. Aimée and her company appeared at the Academy of Music last evening, in ‘Les Cent Vierges,’ and entertained very agreeably an assemblage numerous and brilliant. The opera and its recital have been dealt with quite recently, and need no fresh critique.”
“Les Cent Vierges, one of the drollest of opera bouffes, drew together a larger and apparently a better satisfied audience than most of those that gathered to the late lugubrious season of Italian opera. No work in which such capital actors as Duchesne, Lecuyer, Juteau, and Nardin, and such an actress as Mlle. Aimée are concerned can very well go off otherwise than with charming spirit and vivacity, as did this performance.”
