“A complimentary concert was given last evening at De Garmo’s Hall to Signor Agramonte by his pupils and friends. There was a large and fashionable audience, and the concert was a great success. Mrs. Gulager sang the ‘Venzano Waltz’ with great expression and fine execution. Miss McGeachy sang, with Miss Buckley and Mr. Millard, the trio, ‘Vieni al Mar,’ also the ‘L’Ardita Waltz,’ with marked effect, the selection showing to great advantage her rich and powerful voice, and eliciting warm applause. Miss Annie Chartrand sang sweetly the scene and aria in ‘Faust,’ also a duet with Martinez. Miss Buckley, Mrs. Payne, Mrs. Pidgeon, Miss Davis and Miss Stewart, Mr. Chapman, Mr. Shelton and the other gentlemen, all sang exceedingly well.”
