“The Germania Theatre, under the direction of Adolph Neuendorf, has been thoroughly renovated during the Summer, and will be reopened for the season on Tuesday. The company includes a number of freshly-imported artists, and the répertoire has been enriched by the addition of the latest productions of the best German dramatists. The inauguratory play of the season, ‘Aus der Gesellschaft,’ will, on Tuesday, be preceded by a ‘fest overture’ and a prologue written by the stage manager, Herr Scherenberg. In the after performances several new actors will make their début.”

No mention of music; notes it was the “largest audience ever gathered in the pretty little Germania Theatre.”
