“…Mrs. George Ware, who had hitherto been seen upon the Broadway side of town, sang a number of character songs. She is an excellent vocalist, and her well-trained voice seems to be completely under her control. Expressions of delight greeted that time-tried favorite Tony Pastor, whose comic vocalisms cause the faces of his auditors to be wreathed with smiles.
