“We are informed that ‘Lohengrin’ will certainly be produced when Mr. Strakosch returns to New-York for his Spring season, and we hope it may be presented with some approach at least to the brilliant effects prepared for ‘Aida.’ Campanini, who made an extraordinary sensation with this opera in Italy, will of course be the hero. The Elsa is to be Mme. Nilsson and the Ortrud Miss Cary. Mr. Carl Rosa proposes to produced the same work at Drury Lane next March—about the same time that we may reasonably expect to have it here. It has never been sung in England.”
