“E. D. Davies…introduced a pleasing ballad, part of which was sung in his natural voice, and in the chorus the voices of the old miner, the gentleman on the roof of the theatre, Mary Jones, Tommy and Joey, were at times separately and distinctly heard…the ‘London Madrigal Boys’ sang new selections of music with pleasing effect. Although the attendance is by no means as large as upon the original production of this spectacle, a good paying business is being done.”
