Review: New York Clipper, 25 October 1873, 238.

“George W. Moore, a well-known New Yorker, and for some years past one of the successful managers of Moore & Burgess’ Minstrels, London, Eng., on Oct. 14—the night prior to his return to England—was the recipient of a complimentary serenade tendered him by his old friends and associates, at the residence of Tony Pastor.” Description of event, including a long list of participants (mostly familiar names from minstrel companies). “…The fun and music lasted until the gray dawn of morning, when ‘Auld Lang Syne’ was sung by all assembled, and after hearty hand-shaking, the company separated. The whole affair was very creditable, and will be long remembered by those present.”
