“On and after TUESDAY, the 21st inst., at 9 A. M., Season Tickets and Reserved Seats, for six Concerts and eighteen Rehearsals, will be sold at [lists locations].”
“The sale of seats for the Philharmonic Concerts will begin to-morrow at the usual places. The boxes are to be sold by auction, Tuesday, at the Academy.”
“The auction sale of the boxes in the Academy of Music for the coming concerts and public rehearsals of the Philharmonic Society, which took place yesterday, was not as encouraging as it has been in years past. The attendance at the sale was rather small, and the bidding far from spirited. The boxes were put up at the minimum price of $30 for each containing four seats, and $40 for each containing six, and sold only to holders of associate members tickets. The auctioneer, A. H. Muller, gained the first choice for $80, $50 premium, and selected box ‘La Grange.’ The other bids and selections were as follows: [Lists the boxes by name, their buyers, and the hammer price for each.]
The reserved boxes yielded in tickets and premiums $1,250.”
