“…The mass sung on the occasion was like Joseph’s coat, of divers colors. M. Dachauer, one of the best organists in this country, has a vocal quartet such as few choirs can boast of. Mlle. Corradi, the soprano, has enjoyed in Europe all the honors that a first class prima donna in opera can expect. Mlle. Octavie Gernien [Gomien], the contralto, is an artist of undoubted ability and is thoroughly en rapport with Catholic music. Mr. Pflueger, the tenor, is a conscientious musician and well acquainted with the requirements of the mass. M. Succio, the baritone, is trained in the best vocal schools, and is automatic in precision of rendering, with a certain degree of expression…” Includes a list of music to be performed by the choir during Lent.
