Announcement: New-York Times, 27 October 1873, 5.

“The seventh season of Mr. Thomas’ symphony concerts will be entered upon at Steinway Hall, on the evening of Saturday, Nov. 22. Performances of the highest order are promised, both in respect of selections and recitals, and we need scarcely say, taking the experience of the public into consideration, that Mr. Thomas’ assurances are always fulfilled. Season tickets and seats are now sold at the places designated elsewhere.”

“THEO. THOMAS’ SYMPHONY CONCERST AT STEINWAY HALL.

The public are respectfully informed that the seventh season of Mr. Thomas’ series of SIX GRAND SYMPHONY CONCERTS will commence on Saturday evening, November 22.

It will be the earnest endeavor of Mr. Thomas to make the coming series as interesting as the preceding, and his aim will be the same which was proposed in the circular of last year:—‘While the general tendency of the programmes will be the same as in former years, his especial aim will be to restrict them to works of the highest order, both of the old masters and those of the present day.’

SEASON TICKEST $8 EACH, including reserved seat [sic], can now be had at [lists locations].

NOTICE.—Subscribers desirous of having the same seats for the series can select them at the box office of Steinway Hall on and after November 8 [might be 3]. Circulars can be had at all the principal music and piano stores.”
