Prof. O’Reardon was the only addition to the company at the Metropolitan Theatre on Dec. 1. He has lost none of his skill in manipulating the Tumbleronicon, and the sweet sounds emitted from the musical glasses, blending with those of the piano, upon which he performs with his left hand, have a very pleasing effect upon the ear. He cheerfully responded to numerous encores. John Allen sang ‘Lowena Schneider,’ ‘Rip Van Winkle’s Son,’ and ‘The Broadway Band,’ which elicited much laughter… [there were] serio-comic songs by Miss Nullie [sic] Pieris; songs and banjo solos by William West…” No further mention of music.
