“…Many of the disappointed patiently stood on the sidewalk and listened to the grand music of Haydn’s Imperial Mass No. 3. The choir, under the guidance of Mr. Danforth and Mr. Neuendorff, rendered the music in fine style. In the ‘Gloria’ the singing of Mme. Bredelli was heard to unusual advantage. The ‘Kyrie,’ with full chorus and orchestral accompaniment, was very creditable. The ‘Qui Tollis’ a basso solo by Signor Colletti, was grand and impressive. In the ‘Alleluia,’ a duet, the voices of Carl Bernhard and Mme. Bredelli were listened to with evident pleasure by the vast audience…”
